Born in 1989 in Silver Springs, MD Fhil Brown is an independent American artist of the generation that emerged in the wake of the influence of D-block, Ruff Ryders, Dipset and more. Fhil studied with his older sibling Michael Brown(Danga Da Hallofama) in the informal studio class established in West Virginia late 2000s. There, he absorbed the acute attention to form associated with MXM Umbrella Corp hip hop group based out of Yonkers, NY, subsequently refining his own visual and conceptual vocabulary that emerged through his focus on the points of intersection between engineering, photography, and recording.
Fhil’s work can be found on all social media outlet's also distributed via Tune Core for all online stores that provides music. He currently lives and works in Groton, Connecticut, where his music is becoming the main focal point out of all the Independent Artist and Deejays in the area.
Fhil's latest project "Brown Paint" which was released at the beginning of the year 2017. Fhil's project boosted him to the top of the list of upcoming artist to watch in CT, with 2 singles in heavy rotation "Lean From Texas" & "Califas" being spun on major stations such as Jammin1077, WDUP 92.9, Hot93.7 and more. Many would say Fhil's versatile style caters more to the hippies and the stoner scene as he's heard in majority of his songs rapping about smoking marijuana.
Fhil is currently working on getting all visual shot for the major singles off of "Brown Paint" Album. Fhil will be working with The Hit Room(THR/DEFJAM) on the visual of all his music.
